THE PUNK PANTHER (THINK PINK) by Sean DanconiaOriginally created on behalf of MGM (United Artists) and unfortunately coinciding with their filing for Chapter 11 (which quickly ended the project), “THE PUNK PANTHER” is Sean Danconia’s inspired and interpretive take on the Japanese Pink Panther iconography of the late 70’s.
Danconia explains, “I had wanted to work on a Pink Panther art and product collection for years and I was finally offered the opportunity around 2009-10. The concept art produced was very early stage development, designed to just experiment with the character, envisioning various directions where he could be taken. As the project was cut short, some original artwork remained of which several Artist Proofs exist. I’m happy to make a few of those—from my private collection—available to fans of the character”.
