(Maybe! ◕‿↼).Taking place in Chapter 3 (Stark Raving MOD) of Danconia’s SUPER·PULP Saga—inter-dimensional gambling detective, Johnny 88 (now skinned as Kobayashi Akira), returns to Majestyland to dive deeper into his investigation of Rising Sun Gaming, where he discovers that the MEGA ENIGMA cult is growing in its intensity—now squarely at odds with the hybrid bio-AI system (TOKI NO WA) running what was once the iconic city of London.
But it’s not until a high-stakes game of Hanafuda when surprise guests show up—Jolly Roger and Ryoko Paradis—that all HELL breaks loose—literally—in this horror-MOD 70’s Marvel Comics homage to Britsploitation, French New Wave, Clive Barker and 60’s Yakuza Eiga starring Kobayashi Akira, Wakao Ayako, Alain Delon, Takakura Ken, Doug Bradley, Steve McQueen’s Le Mans Porsche, John Lennon’s outfit from Yellow Submarine (1968), a Kabuki mask and a modified Lament Configuration, with musical selections by THE really Real Don Steele. ★~(◠‿◕✿)
