Directed by Robin Stone. Super·Pulp Productions, 1966. Based on Super·Pulp Comics, Issue 17Taking place in Chapter 3 (Stark Raving MOD) of Danconia’s SUPER·PULP Saga—inter-dimensional gambling detective, Johnny 88 (now skinned as Kobayashi Akira), investigates the death of Sir Tommy Tanaka, the notorious cyborg-owner of Majestyland’s Rising Sun Casino. Tanaka’s lifeless body is discovered on Majesty Air’s Flight 76. His lover and the flight’s pilot—Ryoko Paradis—is the prime suspect.
But when 88 discovers fingerprints at the scene of the crime point to a man who had passed away in a city that shouldn’t exist, the plot takes a giant leap forward into a world run by the mysterious AI named “TOKI NO WA, aka ODIN” and drives our hero down the ultimate rabbit hole in 1966’s Britsploitation Yakuza-Eiga CyberPunk Slasher Spectacular.
