Sean Connery is JAMES BOND in “KISS KISS BANG BANG” · Limited Edition Art Release

KISS KISS BANG BANG (Director’s Cut) | Limited Edition Art Canvas Giclee | Sean Danconia

Houston Smith said that “art makes easy what would otherwise be difficult”. And so—getting Sean Connery to return as James Bond without 50 Mil worth of AI + CGI would be mildly difficult, but it’s been made easier with the final “Director’s Cut” release of Sean Danconia’s KISS KISS BANG BANG.

This limited edition James Bond-themed Fine Art giclee was originally conceived as a traditional one-sheet movie poster (which will be released shortly) but the wide-frame mural structure was settled on by Danconia to better explore the full 60s MOD Bond universe.

KISS KISS BANG BANG | Gloss Canvas Giclee | DANCONIA GALLERY (Dallas, Texas)

The art is heavily inspired by the James Bond aesthetic sensibility present in both the 60’s and 70’s (Roger Moore-era) Bond movie posters, designed by Mitchell Hooks, Eric Pulford, Renato Fratini and the king of all Bond Art—Robert McGinnis. In addition, the art represents much of the kinetic energy of 60’s + 70’s Japanese outsider art (see Danconia-sensei: Tadanori Yokoo).

Bond himself is situated in both the traditional Buddhist mandala structure (see: Shunryu Suzuki) emanating from himself a full mondo-martini-multiverse of provoking post-cocktail party possibilities, in conjunction with his subservient(?) position within the legs of his newly minted nemesis—The Scarlet Woman called BABALON (see: “sacred feminine and Jumpin' Jack Parson’s favorite femme fatale).

And while Edward Woodward of Callan + Equalizer fame, plays Blofeld—his ultimate master in this movie—the true snake behind SPECTRE is another boldly bald man, perhaps more suited to the role. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
